Terms and Conditions

Last updated: June 1, 2026. These terms describe the rules for using ScanAI Workspace for document extraction, review, credits, and exports.

This template is a practical starting point and should be reviewed by a qualified legal professional before launch or monetization.

Use of the Service

  • ScanAI Workspace helps users upload PDFs and images, extract structured data, review results, and export Excel or CSV files.
  • Users must create an account before uploading files and are responsible for keeping login credentials secure.
  • Users may use the service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and third-party rights.

User Content and Permissions

  • Users retain ownership of the files, extracted rows, corrections, and exports they upload or create through the service.
  • By uploading files, users confirm they have the legal right and permission to process those documents.
  • Users grant the service a limited license to store, process, extract, display, edit, export, and transmit user content as needed to provide the service.

Credits, Limits, and Upgrades

  • Free credits, batch limits, file-size limits, supported formats, and processing capacity may be changed to keep the system reliable.
  • Each uploaded file may consume credits, whether extraction succeeds or fails, unless the operator chooses to provide a refund or adjustment.
  • Paid credit terms, refunds, taxes, and billing rules should be shown at purchase time when paid plans are enabled.

Accuracy and Review

  • Extraction results are generated by automated OCR, parsing, and AI-assisted systems and may contain mistakes.
  • Users are responsible for reviewing, correcting, validating, and approving extracted data before relying on it.
  • The service does not provide legal, financial, medical, tax, compliance, or professional advice.

Prohibited Uses

  • Users may not upload malware, illegal content, stolen documents, or content that violates privacy, intellectual property, or contractual rights.
  • Users may not attempt to bypass credit limits, rate limits, authentication, storage boundaries, security controls, or extraction restrictions.
  • Users may not scrape, resell, reverse engineer, overload, or misuse the service without written permission.

Advertising

  • The interface may show advertising or sponsored placements. Ads should not be interpreted as endorsement of any advertiser or third-party product.
  • Ad availability, personalization, and measurement may depend on user location, consent settings, browser controls, and ad partner policies.

Availability and Changes

  • The service may be updated, paused, limited, or discontinued at any time for maintenance, reliability, security, legal, or business reasons.
  • Features, extraction models, supported file types, storage behavior, pricing, and credit limits may change over time.

Limitation of Liability

  • The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the maximum extent permitted by law.
  • The operator is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the service.
  • Users are responsible for maintaining their own backups of important files, extracted rows, and exports.

Termination

  • Access may be suspended or terminated for violation of these terms, security risk, non-payment, abuse, or unlawful activity.
  • After termination, access to workspace data may be limited or removed subject to retention, backup, legal, and operational requirements.
